Motivation has always been a struggle for me. If I didn’t feel motivated, you couldn’t rip me off the couch in my day old pajamas. At one time, if I didn’t feel like doing it, I didn’t do it.
When trying to start to eat better and exercise I would say, “I’m just so tired, I don’t feel like it.”
When trying to get out of debt I’d say, “It feels like I’ll always be in debt so why even try?”
When my alarm would go off I would think, I just don’t feel like getting up right now. Then next thing you know, half my day was spent sleeping.
What I didn’t realize was that I did not have to live according to how I felt.
That’s when things really started to change.
Our minds are truly incredible. We can change our lives if we’d just change our mindsets.
Today I encourage you to change your thoughts. When you think you don’t feel like exercising after work, remember that just because you don’t feel like it doesn’t mean you can’t.
When you want to charge something you really want but don’t have the money for, remember that just because you feel like you want to, doesn’t mean it’s best for you in the long run.
When you don’t feel like getting out of bed, remember that every day you have a choice.
Will every day be perfect? No. But if you don’t at least try, you’ll never really know the power of your thoughts and actions.
