Signs You’re A Side Chick

It always starts off great. He’s nice, funny, he texts you back…and then after he gets what he wants he’s MIA until he deems you worthy of his time.

This, my friends, is called a fuckboy. Here’s four indicators that you may be one of his side chicks.

  1. He says he’s “different and not like the other guys.”
    In my experience, someone who says this is just like the other guys. They can talk the talk but they can’t walk the walk. Let them show you they are different by their actions. Remember ladies, actions speak louder than words. 
  2. He only talks to you on Snapchat or another form of social media rather than using your phone number.
    Let’s be real, ladies. If he won’t give you his phone number or talk to you on anything other than social media, he’s most definitely a fuckboy with a serious girlfriend who he doesn’t want you to know about. Obvi….actions speak louder than words.
  3. He uses the excuse, “I’ve just been busy lately”, and only makes time for you when it is convenient for him.
    If someone really wants to be with you, they will make time for you no matter how “busy” they are. Also, you shouldn’t have to beg for someone to give you their time. Remember, actions speak louder than words. If you feel like you are constantly having to beg for some time, chances are he’s juggling his time between his side pieces…and you’re one of them.
  4. He won’t take you out in public.
    When a guy won’t be seen with you in a public place, there’s probably a reason why. That reason is probably a wife, girlfriend, and/or other side pieces. Can I say louder for the gals in the back? ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!

Ladies, don’t waste your time on someone who treats you like this. You are worth so much more than to be someone’s side chick. And honestly, if he’s already with someone and having side chicks, he’s trash. Take out the trash.

 

 

This Is Why I Marched

Many of you do not know this about me, but about seven years ago I was strangled nearly to death by the person I was dating at the time. The treatment I received by local police was as if I were a criminal and I was not provided with any resources to help cope with what happened to me. To this day, I still deal with the repercussions of that day.

According to nymag.com, 

“Team Trump’s overall budget plan is reportedly modeled on a blueprint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation, which calls the VAMA grants “a misuse of federal resources and a distraction from concerns that are truly the province of the federal government.”

This is why I marched. I want to help protect and educate those who may have the misfortune of going through similar things that I went through. 

For those telling me to “Get over it” because “he is our president”, please understand that even though seven years have passed I’m not 100% over what happened to me.

I would never wish that on any human being and in the unfortunate event that it happens to others, I believe law enforcement should be educated on how to handle those situations and resources should be provided to victims because I did not have either of those things while going through my situation.

Those are things I wish were available to me and I will do what I can to spread awareness. I encourage all of you to take action on the issues you feel are important to you and do so in a respectful and dignified manner. 

This is why I marched in the Women’s March in Harrisburg, PA. Even though the funding has not yet been taken away, I feel it is extremely important to voice why it shouldn’t be.

Trying Vegan Pizza Pockets

When I decided to go vegan at the end of 2015, I struggled to find a good pizza substitute. I tried all kinds of brands of vegan pizzas and tried making my own pizzas with different brands of vegan cheeses but I never found anything that made me say, “Yes, this is the one.”

While grocery shopping (at Walmart of all places), I found these Gardein Meatless Pepperoni Pizza Pockets.  Even though I am not following a vegan diet anymore, I enjoy trying the vegan products I find because I like trying to eat a good portion of my meals without animal products.

Alas, I purchased these pizza pockets and what I found was quite surprising. Check out my video below to see what I think of them!

Take The 28 Day Reset With Me!!!

Hey there all of my lovlies!! It’s been a little while since I posted a good ol’ blog entry and I have to say, I miss all of you!!

The purpose of today’s entry is to let you know about a few things I’m doing during the start of this new year. One of them you could probably figure out by the title of this post. To kickstart my personal goals for the new year, I’m doing a 28 day challenge that I would LOVE for all of you to join me in!

I’m simply following the Blogilaties 28 Day Reset Plant Based Eating plan and doing 6 workouts a week for the next 28 days.

I don’t know about all of you, but my diet has been less than stellar for the better part of the end of 2016. What I hope to accomplish with this is to reset my digestive system and overall, live a healthier and more active lifestyle.

Since I started my new job in May of 2016, I’ve been having a very hard time committing to a healthy lifestyle. I used to do yoga every day and now that I work nights I’ve fallen so far out of my routine.

If you’d like, follow me as I participate in the Blogaglaties 28 Day Reset Challenge!! Each week on Mondays, I will be uploading a video and blog post to show you what I ate that week and what 6 workouts I did. The first will show a before photo with inches and the last week will show both before and after photos with difference in inches. In the blog posts I will include in more detail how my body is feeling with the new changes.

At the end of the program, I’m going to do a separate review of the 28 Day Reset Plant Based Eating EBook so you can get a good, honest review.

Another goal I have for 2017 is to Blog/Vlog way more. I’m going to be doing a blog posts to go with some of my videos and see how that goes. I feel like when I pay attention to my blog, my YouTube suffers and when I pay attention to my YouTube, my blog suffers.

This year, I am going to work diligently to keep both of them updated weekly with fresh content for all of you.
